Hello all,
I'm new to shotguns and recently became a first time owner of a 12 gauge H&R Pardner Pump Protector with 18.5" barrel & bead sight. Courtesy of accumulated Christmas gift cards to Academy Sports and Outdoors. :D Hoping to expand my knowledge on proper techniques regarding weapon maintenance and safe shooting. Weapon's main duty is for home defense and target range. Current add on are simple: slip-on Limbsaver (size: sm), nylon buttstock shell holder, & sling.
I mostly shoot a Glock 30SF and S&W 457 (both .45 caliber). Reviews I've seen says the "Parder" kicks like an angry mule so hopefully, the Limbsaver will make a difference. Don't know if I'm "recoil sensitive" as I've never fired a 12 gauge before. I'll have to find out at the range.
