Older 22 revolver

Hi,
I have an old H & R "22 SPECIAL" 7 shot revolver. I do have the serial number, but I would like to know how I can tell the year of manufacturing - and a possible value.

The serial number is 526979. I couldn't upload the pictures because of the file size. Could you email me and I will reply with the photos. I have three.
