Here is a picture of my Handi Rifle with the new stock and fore end. I bought the stock from boyds and finished it my self with true oil. The fore end came directly from H&R and it was sanded fully but not finished. I used the same method as the stock and it came out pretty good.

Man, I really like how that looks! Excellent choice and good finishing work. I like the Harris on it, looks just right.

I have found that Boyds has good prices but they usually only have the stock and not the forend. When I inquired about the fore end they said that currently there where no plans for making it but if they got enough request from customers they would undertake it. The Finished stocks usually run about $65 plus shipping. There are a couple of other sites that have different styles. There is another company called Gunstocks, Inc. the have different styles and laminates for the Handi rifle. The scope is an old Simmons 3-9 x 50 with high mount rings. I did have to put lock tite on the scope mount screws as they where loose when i first mounted the scope. I shot it yesterday afternoon and it was very accurate. I put about 20 rounds through it and the scope held zero. I did have a problem with the bipod. The location of the sling swivel on the fore end puts the bipod mount on the curve of the fore end and there fore it is not tight. I may relocated the swivel or use a different bipod. Anyone else have experience with a bipod? Thanks
